Find Your Way to Eco Park on Kangaroo Island

Getting to Kangaroo Island

Kangaroo Island is easily reached by both ferry and plane. For a scenic journey, ferries depart from Cape Jervis multiple times a day—typically a 45‑minute ride to Penneshaw. Alternatively, you can catch a quick flight from Adelaide to Kingscote Airport, with flight times around 30–40 minutes. Check current schedules and book in advance for a smooth arrival.

Kangaroo Island offers stunning landscapes, but public transport is limited and ride-sharing services (like Uber) aren’t available. We highly recommend bringing your own car or renting one to ensure you can explore and make the most of the island.

Getting to Creek Bay Eco Park

From Penneshaw
(ferry terminal)

On arrival in Penneshaw by ferry, drive through the town and pick up any last minute shopping!

Follow the road out of town, past the KI Tourist Centre (opposite Christmas Cove). Turn left onto the Willoughby Road, sign posted “Cape Willoughby”. Follow this road for about 18 kms (12km unsealed). Road conditions can vary so please drive carefully and watch out for wildlife.

Go past the “Antechamber Bay West” sign. Travel down through the causeway for about 1km and turn left at the “Antechamber Bay East” sign. Then turn left at the “Creek Bay Road” sign. Follow this road left until you reach the pine log gate entrance to the Eco-cabins on the right. If you come to the car park at the end of the road you’ve gone 100m too far.

From Kingscote
(airport)

After landing at Kingscote Airport and picking up your car, follow the main road east toward Penneshaw. Enjoy a scenic drive across Kangaroo Island as you watch the landscape unfold. Look for signs directing you to Cape Willoughby.

Turn left onto Willoughby Road at the sign and continue for about 18km (with roughly 12 km on unsealed road). When you pass the ‘Antechamber Bay West’ sign, proceed along the causeway for about 1 km. At the ‘Antechamber Bay East’ sign, turn left onto Creek Bay Road and follow it until you see our distinctive pine log gate entrance on the right. (If you reach the car park at the end of the road, you’ve gone too far!)
